 About Norm Lacombe:
Following an NHL career that saw Norm play more than 350 games & win a Stanley Cup, Norm moved to the training & player development side of the game. Since retiring from the NHL, Norm has trained some of the best hockey players in the world including Czech players like Petr Sykora, Martin Straka, Dominik Hasek, Tomas Vokoun, Pavel Trnka, and many more. Additionally, while living and working in Brno, Czech Republic for 3 years,Norm was the strength and conditioning coach for KOMETA of the Czech Extra League.

Thank you for the opportunity our son Jacob had to play with your Czech Hockey Experience this past August. As the name implies, it was more than simply having our son play in another hockey tournament, it was a great opportunity to experience the Czech Republic with your program. We really liked that Jacob was coached by experienced professionals and had an opportunity to face challenging Czech, Swedish and American teams. He also got to play with a top Czech player in the 2004 age group and enjoyed the opportunities to work with him on the same line. We loved that the kids on the team also had time for team bonding, opportunities to meet the players from other tourney teams and got to experience the amazing city of Prague. 

Jacob wasn't the only one who got to have fun. Our whole family enjoyed the trip with a great group of hockey families for fun and educational tours through Prague and Terezin concentration camp. It was also great having options for additional tours and time to explore. Creating a complete family hockey "experience" seems to be the philosophy behind your program and I can definitely say that we loved it!”

🤔 What makes Norm Lacombe's "Czech Hockey Experience" different from other summer European hockey trips?
The biggest difference with what I offer is the hockey experience combined with my unique hockey background. I have over 35 years of experience from playing, coaching, and training hockey players. I won a Stanley Cup with the Edmonton Oilers and have spent 4 years as the strength & conditioning coach for Kometa Brno of the Czech Extra League which is where we will spend the first 4 days of the trip. 

  • ​The players will experience the unique on & off ice Czech training methods
  • ​They will learn and practice with Kometa’s (Czech Elite League) top coaches and players
  • ​Part of the schedule consists of a 3-4 day training camp in Brno
  •  We do not take many players & have top Czech players play with us 
  •  Norm Lacombe will be helping coach the teams along with a Kometa coach and guest coaches
  •  Guest appearances and training from former and current Czech NHL players
  •  Minimum of 6 practices and 8 games
  •  Option to be a part of my Spring Development Program in Edmonton, AB where we prepare for Czech Hockey Experience
